CalExotics Recognized at 2014 Adultex Awards

QUEENSLAND, Australia — Adult manufacturer California Exotic Novelties took home two awards at the 2014 Adultex awards, which was held on April 12 at Jupiter’s Casino in Queensland, Australia.

The company scored the Best Packaging Award for its Scandal line and received the Best Social Media Honor.

The annual trade exhibition, now in its 10th year, offers retailers from Australia and New Zealand the opportunity to view products from the world’s leading manufacturers and vendors.

“We’re incredibly honored by both of these amazing awards,” said Susan Colvin, president and CEO of California Exotic Novelties and Jopen. “Thank you to Calvista, Michael Bassett and everyone who was involved with the Adultex show. We’re always excited to be a part of it.”

The Scandal Collection is a sophisticated fetish line that consists of restraints, harnesses and sensory accessories. The range’s package art captures the brand and narrates a story with provocative photography.

California Exotic Novelties’ social media initiatives center around its online community, Club CalExotics, and is supported through Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube and other platforms.

“Congratulations to our friends at California Exotic Novelties and JOPEN for winning two awards and for being a part of the Adultex show,” Calvista CEO Michael Bassett said. “Everything was a huge success and we’re grateful for the support from Susan Colvin and her team.”

In addition to winning two awards, California Exotic Novelties and its sister company, JOPEN, also displayed products at the trade show. Among the collections seen by the Southern Hemisphere were Apollo, Booty Call, Coco Licious, COLT, Embrace, Entice, Jack Rabbit, Kisses and Posh. From JOPEN, Adultex visitors saw EGO, ENVY, ESSENCE, KEY, Intensity and LUST.

The winners of this year’s Awards were announced at Jupiter’s Casino during Doc Johnson’s American Icons party where attendees dressed as their favorite American icons.
